So much was written about Jagr been a moody, sometimes divisive guy, but he's been loose and seems to genuinely like his teammates

Why don't he start scoring goals

Ya

He also said he's come back to Pittsburgh for the league minimum, as a thank you to his hero/idol Mario Lemieux and that money didn't matter

Then when he said money didn't matter this off season and the Penguins offered him 2 million, he parlayed that offer against Detroit (which was offering less) and then jumped at the Flyers when they offered more

Money doesn't matter to Jagr - B.S.

Thank you for your insight into this matter. It has been duly noted and will certainly be taken into consideration during the future endeavors of the Philadelphia Flyers organization. Please keep your ear to the ground for us.

As he's mentioned, the pressure isn't on him to be 'the guy' anymore. I'm sure that's gotta loosen you up a little bit.

I still think it would be prudent for the Flyers to wait until they know a bit more about Pronger's condition for next season and deal with the team's other needs before they make a decision on Jagr.

Hmmm...I really hope he stays in Philly...But I heard once he would play for the LEAGUE MINIMUM in Pittsburgh when his career in Russia was over...

So, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't end up being quite as easy as it sounds right now. Jagr is more complicated than that.

Jagr is like an Ogre...and Ogres are like onions...

SHREK
For your information, there's a lot
more to ogres than people think.

DONKEY
Example?

SHREK
Example? Okay, um, ogres are like onions.
(he holds out his onion)

DONKEY
(sniffs the onion) They stink?

SHREK
Yes - - No!

DONKEY
They make you cry?

SHREK
No!

DONKEY
You leave them in the sun, they get
all brown, start sproutin' little white
hairs.

SHREK
No! Layers! Onions have layers. Ogres
have layers! Onions have layers. You
get it? We both have layers. (he heaves
a sigh and then walks off)

DONKEY
(trailing after Shrek) Oh, you both
have layers. Oh. {Sniffs} You know,
not everybody likes onions. Cake! Everybody
loves cakes! Cakes have layers.

SHREK
I don't care... what everyone likes.
Ogres are not like cakes.

DONKEY
You know what else everybody likes?
Parfaits. Have you ever met a person,
you say, "Let's get some parfait," they
say, "Hell no, I don't like no parfait"?
Parfaits are delicious.

SHREK
No! You dense, irritating, miniature
beast of burden! Ogres are like onions!
And of story. Bye-bye. See ya later.

DONKEY
Parfaits may be the most delicious thing
on the whole damn planet.

SHREK
You know, I think I preferred your humming.

DONKEY
Do you have a tissue or something? I'm
making a mess. Just the word parfait
make me start slobbering.

Look, whether he's back next season or not, this is a good sign that the locker room is a good place to be these days. We'll need that if we are serious about a long playoff run with a happy ending. I'll take it for what it is.

Well, this is great news for the Flyers, because we ALL know that Jagr is very consistent in terms of what he tells the media and then what he actually does.

I think the only thing that made me more excited after reading this article was going to be the reaction from Pens fans, thank you for not disappointing

You have a very good point but since he is already a Flyer and wants to remain a Flyer this changes things considerably. Before he came back to the NHL it was wide open as it would be a new start. This time it is not a new start and Jagr really enjoys being a flyer. That being said he will resign with the Flyers.

Screw you jagr wanted to play in philly because of the centers giroux, and briere are both right handed like limeux which Jagr likes.

Pittsburgh fans cry like babies because he decides to sign with Philly. And then female dog like little girls about how terrible Jagr is. Make up your minds.

I don't think anyone cried about Jagr signing with the Flyers.

Talbot maybe, but not 'dying alive' Jagr.

Its been said that he never promised Lemieux anything. He wanted to play somewhere he new he was going to get ice time and be able to help the club. He also said how important it was that he play with a right handed center.

We aim to please!

Seriously...if it turns out to be as simple as Jagr made it sound...then great for you guys.

I just think there will be some other development that will make it more complicated.

Jagr's pretty old, you really think he can hold up all year, let alone next year again?

Who was crying lol I almost threw my blackberry when the fake story broke that he signed with pitt for 1.7 10 mins into free agency wich imo was too much for a guy who is 39 and has a recurring groin injury. I hope philly wins the bidding war for him again and pays him another 3.5 next year because its nothing but a burden on what i think is the biggest threat to pitty in the division for the next few years. Being a pens fan for for over 20 years I can tell you I dont know these pans fans who were crying that you speak of. Most had an opinion like me especially after watching him have nothing with the rags when pitty sent them packing in the playoffs in his last nhl game before this year.
